Our story begins on a very beautiful summer day on the occasion of our wedding, July 03, 1999 at the Moulin. That day, we decided to leave Brussels to come and live in our mill, which had been until then a weekend and family vacation home for three generations.

 

We were well aware of all the constraints of our decision that awaited us with our profession in office design. With our customers and our friends in majority spread all over Belgium, the kilometers by car were going to be swallowed at high speed!!

 

But waking up by the river with the enchanting sound of life and hearing the birds singing now the only way for us.

  

My three oldest daughters no longer living in the mill, we felt a little lonely with our last daughter Loraine in this large family home.

 

One day, one of our friends said to us: "why wouldn't you have guest rooms, you who have the art of receiving in your souls. Your mill has always been a weekend and holiday home for your friends and family… you keep receiving them and they leave with a heart full of happiness after a stay with you" 

 

After a little time thinking about our friend's suggestion, we are off on this beautiful and new project. It was also about discovering a new way of life and above all sharing our passion for hospitality that drives us. 

Not to mention that we are located in the heart of one of the most beautiful regions of Belgium, classified as a Unesco "Geopark" that we can certainly make you appreciate as we love it.   

  

And in 2008, the adventure begins, we open our guest rooms …… at the Moulin de Resteigne.

 

Time flies and here we are with years of happiness when we have had  the pleasure of welcoming  and sharing very good moments with you who appreciated both our guest rooms and our mill in this magical and authentic setting that make it a such an unusual place.
